Betis forward Bacambu, 34, was originally going to leave the team as a free agent this summer, but he eventually convinced the club and won the opportunity to stay. Recently, in an interview with Betis' official media, Bakambu expressed his hope to return this trust with goals and performance.

◉ About staying in the team this summer

Bakambu said: "The team had a good season last year, and it was the same for me personally, and I hope it can continue. There is indeed a clause in the contract that allows Betis to let me be free, but the club decided to continue with me. I am here to wait for the club's arrangements and let's see how this season will develop."

◉ The Congolese national team forward is trying to gain a place in Betis' forward and is the main substitute in Cucho's rotation.

Bakambu said: "If the club decides to continue working with me, I will stay; if the club has other decisions, I will accept it calmly. The most important thing is that the club will not have problems because of me. I am looking forward to the game this season and hope to score more goals for Betis. I feel good and better."

◉ About the changes in the team moving home to Rakatuha Stadium

"It's crazy. It's always a good thing to be able to play in a stadium full of spectators, and Rakatuha is a very large stadium. Personally, I prefer Villamarin Stadium, but that doesn't matter. Now we have a new home field and it's important to win the game there."
