Du Yuezheng: In Marbella, the monthly salary of more than 1,000 points can only cover the cost of food.

Recently, Chinese player Du Yuezheng, who plays for the La Liga team Marbella, accepted an interview with the Raspberry Bears Stand. During the interview, Du Yuezheng talked about his and the team's salary situation.

Can you tell us some of your current living conditions, such as what a salary can cover?

Du Yuezheng: My approximate salary is to eat, so I can only eat. I probably get a little over 1,000 per month.

If you live in Marbella, it might be a little more than 1,000. I feel that the local price level seems to be okay.

Du Yuezheng: It's okay.

But it's not feasible at all in big cities, not in Madrid.

Du Yuezheng: But there is no other way, I will reveal another interesting thing to you. You know we introduced a new former talent from Inter Milan this season (Van Heusden). He played in the first two games of the season and played extremely well. Then he got injured. He (left) from Inter Milan because of his injury.

He went to Inter Milan at a very early age. He was the captain of Standard Liege at the beginning. Do you know how much annual salary he can get at Inter Milan? The annual salary is almost 1.2 million euros, but when he comes here, his salary is the same as mine. But it’s because Inter Milan is still paying him (salary). His contract with Inter Milan has been terminated, but I don’t know why, Inter Milan still pays him.

He really didn’t want to play anymore because of the injury. He was devastated by the injuries and had to undergo maybe four or five major and minor surgeries. He no longer wants to play football. He told me that he is only 25 or 26 years old now, but he already has a wife and children. Now he just wants to play some simple football and be here with his wife and children.

If everyone has almost this salary, there are many players in the team who are also working part-time, right?

Du Yuezheng: No, maybe we are the only two with this salary, and others may be a little higher. They probably have to be about seven thousand, five or six thousand, something like that. Callejon might have been playing more at that time.

Is that because La Liga is still a professional league?

Du Yuezheng: Yes, yes, this level includes the Spanish Association B, and maybe the Spanish Association C is not available. It may be that only the sixth and seventh levels can play football and work at the same time. But maybe the third level of the Western Conference is the fifth level, maybe they are in the state of completely professional players, training every day and taking a rest in the afternoon.
