According to reports from each team, Barcelona continues to discuss player transfer matters with Mallorca before the transfer market is closed.

On Wednesday, Barcelona sports director Deco held a new round of talks with representatives of Mallorca. Mallorca's sports director Pablo Otters and his assistant Alitz Aduriz went to the John Gambor Sports City office in Barcelona to discuss the three players they are interested in: Ford, Villheely and Dani Rodriguez.

The two clubs maintained a good relationship after Pablo Torre's transfer this summer, so they continued to engage in the transfers of the three players.

For Ford, Mallorca hopes to use him to fill the position of Pablo Mafeo, who is about to leave the team. Ford also received offers from Como 1907, Paris FC and Premier League teams such as Aston Villa and West Ham United, but these will be on loan form so that he can work out in the top flight and eventually return to Barcelona.

As for Villheely, the young winger did not participate in the preseason with the first team and is still training for Barcelona B. Igoba Alasat tried to convince him to join Mallorca. Deco proposed to lease it and demanded the sale of 50% of its ownership for four million euros, while adding a reasonable buyback clause. Mallorca, on the other hand, was willing to pay only two million euros to buy his ownership, and negotiations were still in progress.

Finally it is Rodriguez. While clubs such as Valencia and Celta have withdrawn from the competition, the two sides are discussing possible transfer options, while Barcelona hopes to retain some ownership rights for the players in the future.
