After France lost to Spain 4-5 and stopped in the European League semi-finals, Mbappe accepted a post-match interview with TF1.
About the theory of the referee after the game
"I don't agree with the referee's judgment on the actual game time, but if I say it, everyone will think I'm complaining. Since there are five minutes of stoppage time, I should play five minutes."
About the team's performance
"If you summarize now, I would say that we played well. Some game clips were not shown for a long time. We were distracted in the first half and were scored by our opponents two goals, and the same was true in the second half. We couldn't maintain stability in 90 minutes, but overall it was still improved."
"A temporary patchwork of defense? This is not an excuse. We are all high-level players, but this game is not useless. We are indeed very angry, that's for sure, we are very frustrated now."
