Chairman Vallecano strongly supports Laporta, saying it has brought major changes to Barcelona.
Barrecano Club Chairman Raul Martin Pres highly praised the management of Barcelona Club President Laporta in a recent interview. Vallecano will face Barcelona at home this Sunday. In an interview with El Chiringuito, Pres said he highly recognized Laporta's efforts in leading the important club.
When asked if the formal lunch with Laporta and his management would be scheduled before the weekend's match, Pres firmly replied: "Of course."
Pres also particularly praised Laporta's work: "They have completely changed the situation in Barcelona."
He listed the achievements under Laporta's rule, including winning the championship and almost reaching the last Champions League final (unsuccessful due to one turnover). In addition, Pres mentioned that Laporta plans to build a modern stadium that can last for 50 years, which will greatly enhance Barcelona's image.
Regarding the condition of the game venue, Pres added: "Although the turf is a little yellowed due to the high temperature, it is generally in good condition. We used a grass called 'Bermuda', which is suitable for areas where temperatures often reach 40 degrees in summer. Our players have trained on the court and think it is in good condition."
