In the first round of the Club World Cup, Inter Milan drew 1-1 with Monterrey. Inter Milan coach Ziwo was interviewed after the game.
What do you think of this game?
We played well in the first half, and although we conceded one goal first, we caused trouble for our opponents through offense and defense conversion. In the second half, our pass-and-received pace was slow, and although we had several opportunities, we were not able to seize opportunities in front of the goal.
What else do you lack in the second half?
The opponent's offense and defense conversion is fast, we have some adventures, we need more direct passes and quick passes, but the players have tried their best.
In the second half, we saw Inter Milan use the 3421 formation. Is this your new tactic?
We have to try different solutions, using two front midfielders plus one forward, or one front midfielder plus two forwards.
What do you think of new player Louis Enrique?
Louis Enrique could do better, but his body hasn't reached its best yet, and he only did two training sessions with us. I was not disappointed with him, he had personality, excellent skills, and had the courage to be one-on-one.
How did Sebastiano Esposito play?
He performed the same as the team. The opponent is low-post defense and often creates offside, and playing football is not easy in this case, but he performs well.
