French media "Duckling" reported that Mbappe was involved in an administrative investigation by the French National Police Inspectorate Office, and he was suspected of bribing police officers with 180,300 euros.

French media said that five riot police officers (CRS) responsible for protecting the French national team received money from Mbappe in 2023, and the French National Police Inspector General (IGPN) has launched an administrative investigation into the grant.

According to a document from the French Anti-Money Laundering Intelligence Processing and Operations Department quoted by the Yaming Daily, the four sheriffs each received a cheque of 30,000 euros, which was issued by a bank account under Mbappe's name in June 2023. The fifth policeman, the commander of the above four law enforcement officers, received 60,300 euros. Therefore, Mbappe paid a total of 180,300 euros (about 1.51 million yuan).

French media claimed that a statement signed by Mbappe had been consulted, explaining that he decided to donate all his prize money for the World Cup in Qatar "to the group members responsible for player safety and different charities". He claimed he had "consulted his tax attorney" who confirmed to him that "the beneficiaries of these practices" were not required to file with the tax authorities. The National Police Inspector General (IGPN) is particularly concerned about the role played by the commander who received 60,300 euros.

According to the Yaming News, the key to the whole question is whether this is indeed a grant or a reward for private security services. Because the police officer involved was indeed seen accompanying Mbappe to Cameroon and Vaucluse provinces in the summer of 2023. For the Police Supervisory Agency (IGPN), the commander's two itineraries "violated his obligation to be honest." Also, according to the "Da Ming Daily", Mbappe said "prepare any questions about this matter."
