Fox applied for a deal before the deadline of last season s trading, and was eventually sent to the Spurs by the Kings three-party trade.

According to Shams, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul revealed to ESPN that Spurs star Fox has agreed to sign a four-year, $229 million maximum salary renewal contract with the team.
Before the trading deadline last season, Fox submitted a deal application to the Kings, and the King finally reached a three-party deal with the Spurs and the Bulls.
Details are as follows:
Spurs received: Fox, McLaughlin;
The Kings received: Laven, Sissoko, three first-round picks (2025 Hornets, 2027 Spurs, 2031 Timberwolves), three second-round picks (2025 Bulls, 2028 Nuggets, 2028 Kings’ own);
The Bulls received: Zach Collins, Trey Jones, Hurt, and regained their 2025 first-round picks from the Spurs.
