In the NBA regular season, the Bucks narrowly defeated the Pacers 117-115.

In this campaign, Bucks star Antetokounmpo performed comprehensively on both offense and defense. He played 31 minutes and made 14 of 21 shots, 1 of 2 three-pointers, 4 of 9 free throws, and scored 33 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, with a plus-minus value of +8. At the last moment of the final quarter, Antetokounmpo made a jump shot to complete the victory.

When talking about the penalty after the game, Bucks coach Rivers said: "There was a ball where Antetokounmpo broke into the basket and was completely knocked down. Looking at the video, you can see that he was knocked upside down, but the referee did not call it. The standard of the penalty that Antetokounmpo received was really shocking. One referee even said, 'That's right. Fang was hitting him on the arm but he continued to complete the action.' I said, 'But that's still a foul.' The referee said, 'Yes, but he is strong enough to continue the action, and he will not stop attacking because of it.' But it is still a foul. I think he was fouled countless times. The one that pissed me off the most was the last round."
