Chairman Como: Paz s future is up to him to decide, we have no signing budget for January next year

In an interview with Sportitalia, Como Club President Mirvan Suvarso talked about Nico Paz, Champions League qualification, winter signings and other topics.
Since the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics will be held at the San Siro Stadium, Como's away game against Milan in Serie A in February next year is scheduled to be played in Australia. What do you think about this?
We are delighted to support Serie A, their initiative to make Italian football more international. Therefore, as part of Serie A, we are happy to contribute to this effort. Will more Serie A matches be held abroad in the future? It's not my job, it's up to Serie A to decide and Como will take part in the vote like other Serie A clubs. Whatever decision is ultimately made, we will abide by it.
If approved by FIFA and the Australian Football Association, we will plan to take some Como fans to Australia to watch this game, just like we did when we went to the United States to play tour games in the past two consecutive years. We always bring our fans with us and we'll probably continue to do that this time.
Nico Paz performed well in Como, but Real Madrid has the player's buy-back right. Will he stay in Como?
I don't care about our agreement with Real Madrid. We reached an agreement from the beginning and Real Madrid has the right to repurchase him at any time. As for Nico's future it will be up to him to decide, we are delighted to have him and we certainly hope to build a home for him here. I think we are the right place for him and he has chosen to stay this season and we enjoy that every day. Let's see what happens next. Will he return to Real Madrid next season? Or will you stay in Como? Real Madrid has the right to buy back, but it depends on Nico's own wishes.
Is Como's goal this season to qualify for the European competition?
People always talk about so-called goals, but I don’t care about that. We are here to build a club and team that can continue to develop. We buy young players hoping to increase their value so they can be sold in the future. We want to have a good team and if we perform well and can finish 6th, 7th, 8th, that's great. But if I don’t do it, I won’t lose sleep over it.
I have never set a specific goal. Of course, we must avoid relegation, but our first priority is to let the club grow and develop young players so that the boss does not need to continuously inject funds, otherwise this is not a suitable business project. We are not running the club for vanity but to build a team that does not require new money to be injected every time, which takes a long time and requires hard work. As for entering the European war or even the Champions League, this is currently our most secondary goal. It is too early to talk about this now.
Como spent a lot of money on signings in January this year. Will you do it again in January next year?
I can tell you clearly that we have no signing budget and the budget for this season has been used up. The situation was different last season. It was our first season in Serie A and the team was still adjusting its tactical style. When we first got promoted to Serie A we played one way and then we brought in players to adapt to another way of playing. Suddenly we had Nico Paez, Perrone, Roberto and others who allowed Cesc Fabregas to create a different style of football. Therefore, we introduced some new players for him in January this year who are more suitable for his new tactics.
But the recruitment work for this season has been completed, we have enough players to support the team, and we have supplemented the positions that were insufficient last season. Therefore, we do not have any signing plans in January next year. I will say that if we spend the same or similar amount on signings in January next year as we did in January this year, then I promise to treat all other club presidents in Serie A to dinner.
