Miami International coach Mascherano was interviewed a few days ago and congratulated Dembele on winning the Golden Globe Award.
Mascherano said: "First of all, he won the award that any football player dreams of. Obviously, he has made great progress in Paris in the past few years, and I think he deserves this award."
Mascherano pointed out that he had only worked with Dembele at Barcelona for only six months, when the French player was still suffering from injuries and could not continue to compete, but said: "Even then, it was obvious that he was a unique player, and I am very happy for him."
Regarding the next game against New York City FC, Mascherano expressed relief for Suarez's return, who was suspended for three games for spitting at his opponent and has now expired. Mascherano believes that this break will help him get back to his body: "He has participated in many games in a row before, so this break is good for him."
