According to reporter Ángel García, Barcelona is about to sign Atletico Madrid B's 20-year-old defender Spina.
Argentine defender Spina, 20, currently plays for Atletico B. At first, Spina will join Barcelona's B, but after Inigo leaves the team, he may have the opportunity to compete for the first team position.
Spina is a right footed central defender and often appears in the left central defender. He joined Atletico Madrid from the University of La Plata in 2023 and spent the outstanding A-team 2023/24 season under Torres, who won the league and Champions League that year. Last season, he was promoted to Atletico Madrid B and played in rotation between the starter and the substitute.
Atletico Madrid hopes to receive a relatively low transfer fee from Barcelona, but they demand that the buyback clause be retained so that they have the opportunity to re-sign the potential player in the future.
