Former Frosinone captain Paul Antonioli died at the age of 47.
Paul Antonioli's wife announced the news of her husband's death due to illness on social media. He has played in Serie B 30 times.
Frosinone officially released the eulogy, writing: "Paul was there, standing in the middle of the defense line, protecting the team with his sincerity, professionalism, fighting spirit and love for the jersey. This is how he walked into the hearts of the fans of Frosinone because he gave everything. Goodbye, captain!"
