Russia goalkeeper coach: Safonov is not considering leaving Paris in the winter window

Russian national team goalkeeper coach Kafanov was interviewed by the media and talked about the situation of Russian goalkeeper Safonov in Paris.

Safonov lacks playing opportunities in Paris. What do you think of this?

His season has just begun, and Paris Saint-Germain has chosen other goalkeepers as the main force, but as long as the opportunity comes, he will definitely be able to regain his position. What he needs to do is bide his time and take advantage of possible mistakes by his competitors.

How does the national team respond to his lack of playing opportunities?

We will continue to recruit and fully support him. There are only a handful of goalkeepers in Russia who can play for European clubs - Lunyov previously joined Bayer Leverkusen, and now it is Safonov's turn. We are sincerely happy for him and will do our best to help him gain a foothold in Europe.

Have you discussed the situation in Paris with him?

He is calm and waiting for the opportunity. Opportunities will come.

Will Safonov consider leaving the team in the winter window?

As far as I know, neither the club nor the player himself has considered this possibility.
