According to ESPN reporter Shams, Al Horford has promised to sign a multi-year contract with the Warriors.
Horford updated his personal social media to bid farewell to the Celtics, writing: "Since the day we arrived, you have welcomed me and my family with great enthusiasm. This career experience will always occupy a special place in my heart. Raising the 18th championship flag with this city will be a moment I will always remember in my life. I will always be grateful to the team and the fans. Thank you, Boston."
Horford played for the Celtics for seven seasons, playing in a total of 465 games, averaging 11.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.
