Mahomes: I had insomnia the night Doncic was traded. It took a while to digest it all

Recently, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was interviewed by Sports Illustrated and talked about his reaction to learning that Doncic was traded as a loyal fan of the Mavericks.
He said: "It took me a while to digest it all. When Doncic was traded, I was actually in the bed at home, and I'm sure many people are like that. I remember turning over and waking my wife to tell her about it, as if she would care as much as I did. She was basically pretending to be interested for me, but turned over and fell asleep again, and I didn't fall asleep for hours."
"But, brother, this is not just a basketball player. When I knew Luca, he was 18 years old, in Dallas, and I was 22 years old, and there. So, I'm happy that he could go to the Lakers, it was a great team, and I believe his development there would be limitless."
