Mayoral on Real Madrid career: I won’t blame past decisions and will always be grateful for Benzema’s help

After leaving Real Madrid, Mayoral, now 28, has achieved success in Getafe, but he has never forgotten his time at the Bernabeu. In an interview with AS, Mayoral recalled that unforgettable time.
About my past decisions
To be honest, I don’t have any blame for my past decisions. Ultimately, everyone moves forward on their own path and makes the choice they think is best at the time. If I were to give some advice to my past self, it would be to continue to work hard, be humble, and continue to grow and improve, even when there is no chance to compete.
About playing football with his idol Benzema
Imagine it, it was like a dream. It's incredible to be able to play with your idol, watch him train every day and learn from him. I paid close attention to Benzema's movements and asked him questions. Additionally, he is very relatable as a person. I remember once, when I scored a goal, even though he was unable to play due to injury, he still sent me a message on WhatsApp to congratulate me after the game. I am forever grateful to him.
About former Real Madrid coach Mourinho and current Getafe coach Bordalas
They are very similar, especially in terms of requirements in training. They are winners who always pursue victory and achieve results. I like Bordalas' training methods because they are very comprehensive: training with the ball, training without the ball, shooting drills, physical training, etc., which keep the team in top shape at all times.
