The "Daily Mail" wrote that Robben turned to professional cricket after retiring, and also participated in the World Paddle Tennis Tour with Robin van Persie.
Former football player Robben, 41, is a professional paddle tennis player and has a world ranking. In late August, he competed in the FIP Bronze Westerbork Championship (part of the CUPRA FIP Tour) in his native Netherlands and earned his first International Plate Tennis Federation (IFP) ranking point.
Robben's passion for paddle tennis began during his time at Bayern Munich, and he once said: "When I was in Germany, I played paddle tennis three times a week." He has previously expressed a desire to emulate former footballers in switching to paddle tennis - and pointed to the influence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Sweden.
Robben said: "Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made paddle tennis an important sport in Sweden, and I think I can do the same in the Netherlands."
In 2023, Robben teamed up with former Dutch team strike partner Robin Van Persie. The two switched from the football field to the paddle tennis court and participated in the professional-am match of the Amsterdam Open of the World Cricket Tennis Tour. Just like their brilliant football career, it also ended in success, and the two won the "Legend Match"

In 2023, Robben partnered with former Dutch national team teammate Robin Van Persie to win the "Legend Match" in the pro-am match of the World Padel Tour Amsterdam Open.
