As of now, the Greek men's basketball team has played three warm-up matches (1 win and 2 losses), and Antetokounmpo has not played, which has also aroused dissatisfaction among fans. According to Greek media SDNA, the reason Antetokounmpo is missing in the first few warm-up matches in Greece is that insurance costs have not been paid.
SDNA reported: "Giannis's appearance is only one payment away - this payment will ensure insurance coverage in case of an accident or injury. When will this payment be paid? The national team coach (Span Norris) is not even sure whether Giannis will play in the friendly match against Montenegro on August 14 in Thessaloniki."
SDNA pointed out: "Maybe it's because the Bucks are watching whether the long-discussed deal will come true, or whether Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee. Otherwise, the agreement will have to be reached with his (possibly after the transfer)."
