Meiji asked 16 league executives about Grimes annual salary: The highest value is $75 million in four years

Today, TA reporter Fred Katz surveyed 16 league executives about Grimes' annual salary.

Most of those involved in the survey believed that Grimes' annual salary was within reasonable limits of the middle class exception, with a starting salary of $14.1 million. Of the 16 candidates, 12 of them gave annual salaries between $12 million and $16.7 million. A management staff member who rated Grimes highly suggested that a four-year, $75 million contract could be given, which was the highest annual salary of all those involved in the survey (average annual salary of $18.8 million).

Another executive believes that Grimes is only worth $30 million for three years. The executive said he could not confirm whether the Sixers deliberately lost to save their first round when Grimes broke out at the end of last season, when Grimes "played on a bad team."
